Seán Gray

Scottish Traditional Music at its world class best

Thursday 3rd October 2024 9.15pm
Festival Club, Dumfries Arms Hotel, Glaisnock St, KA18 1BY

Seán Gray is a guitarist, flautist and singer from the village of Coylton in Ayrshire. In recent years he has spent most of his time performing with the award-winning Paul McKenna Band of which The New York Times wrote, “The best folk band to have come out of Scotland in the last twenty years.” Seán was commissioned by Celtic Connections to write “The Hammering Tongue” in 2017. This involved a collaboration with local Lallans Scots poet, Rab Wilson of New Cumnock. We are delighted to host him in a late-night Festival Club event in the Dumfries Arms Hotel.
