Sax Ecosse is a quartet of saxophone players, including local New Cumnockian composer Jay Capperauld, whose music is now well known to Tryst audiences. The ensemble has enjoyed considerable success throughout the UK and Europe. Recent engagements range from the Edinburgh International Festival, the Usher Hall Emerging Artist Series, Celtic Connections and Cottiers Chamber Project, to recitals in Ljubljana, Slovenia and the St Olav’s Festival, Norway, alongside concerts for music societies throughout Britain.

I’m delighted that fellow Ayrshire composer Jay Capperauld is bringing his group to the Tryst’s Festival Club. During their career the quartet has entertained many dignitaries including one of the world’s most famous enthusiast of the saxophone, former US President Bill Clinton!
