Volunteer Opportunities

We were delighted to have the support of a wonderful team of volunteers at the first four Cumnock Tryst Festivals, who helped us to make sure that both artists and audience members had a great festival experience.

Our volunteers enjoy a rewarding and fun weekend, and are very much an essential part of the Festival.

Volunteering with us can give you: a chance to see the events you volunteer at; an opportunity to meet other like-minded people with a shared passion for the arts; first-hand experience of festival and event management; the opportunity to be involved in behind the scenes activities; an invitation to special events - and of course you will be helping to make the Festival a success.

If you are available between 4th - 7th October and are interested in volunteering at the 2018 Festival, we would love to hear from you. We are ideally looking for people who can commit to at least two festival days (i.e. being available for the whole day, including the time when concerts are taking place). You would also be required to attend a training session in September in Cumnock.

Volunteers undertake a number of roles, including Front of House, which includes box office duties, checking tickets, selling programmes, ushering audience members; other volunteers help us as drivers. There may be other volunteer roles available depending on your interest and previous experience.

It remains one of our highest priorities to get the people of Cumnock and the area involved in The Cumnock Tryst. If you are interested in volunteering, we would love to hear from you. Please contact us by emailing info@thecumnocktryst.com. If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch.

One of the ways that people in the area can feel an immediate attachment to, and ownership of The Cumnock Tryst is to join us as volunteers for the festival, helping out at events and contributing to the effective organisation of the concerts. It would be great to have some of you involved in the nitty gritty and smooth running of this new exciting venture!
