Rising star saxophonist Matt Carmichael brings his mesmerising blend of jazz and folk to Cumnock with music from his latest album, Dancing with Embers. Heralded by BBC Music Magazine as “a distinctive new voice in a crowded scene”, Matt performs with four close friends and collaborators, including pianist Fergus McCreadie, who’ve been playing together since their teenage years. Their remarkable chemistry creates a rich tapestry of sound where melody takes centre stage and collective improvisation flourishes. A special opportunity to hear some of Scotland’s most exciting young jazz talents in an intimate setting.
