The Festival Chorus are back for their third Tryst concert and their second in Auchinleck Parish Church. Once again the performance will be led by the charismatic Eamonn Dougan, one of the great choir trainers in the land. Now a firm Tryst favourite, Eamonn will conduct the choir in some famous Mozart and Vaughan Williams. Festival Chorus Master Andrew MacTaggart joins him as soloist.

We are also pleased to have a small group back from Genesis Sixteen who will have their own slot in the concert, and the incredible virtuoso organist Kevin Bowyer who brings some music by the late Sir Peter Maxwell Davies. The choral dimension of the Tryst continues to grow and evolve and we are proud of the standards already achieved by our resident ensemble.

The Tryst is now putting down roots in various villages in the area and we love the ambience and acoustics of this fine church in Auchinleck. The Festival Chorus is such an integral part of our project in both the musical and social sense, and we have big plans going forward. Genesis Sixteen, the training academy of The Sixteen, are now a firm feature of the Festival and we are especially pleased to have Eamonn Dougan back with us again.
