The 2026 festival opens with one of Scotland’s most exciting young pianists. Blind since birth, Ethan was the winner of the BBC Young Musician Keyboard Category in 2022 and is a talented composer in his own right. In this recital, he brings together music by Liszt, Chopin and Debussy alongside two of his own pieces in a programme that moves from quiet reflection to breathtaking drama. An evening of bold, expressive playing that sets the tone for the whole weekend ahead.
