2018 marks the 5th year of The Cumnock Tryst and we'll be holding a splendid weekend of events and celebrations. Since the first Cumnock Tryst in 2014 and through the subsequent festivals of 2015, 2016 and 2017, we've brought some of the world's finest musicians to perform in Cumnock and the neighbouring villages. This year we have many treats in store which will be unveiled at a special launch event in June.
As well as programming a series of wonderful concerts The Cumnock Tryst is also active in the local area working with schools and local groups to foster composition skills, provide choral training and to develop further our specialist skills at working with children and adults with special additional needs as well as providing them with performance opportunities.
The aim is to create a Festival that celebrates the beauty and power of music for the local community and visitors alike. Artists of the calibre of Nicola Benedetti, The Sixteen with Harry Christophers, Scottish Ensemble, Colin Currie and Martyn Brabbins have enthusiastically joined in the Festival activities in Cumnock. To date this has been made possible by a mix of public funding and private charitable giving. Will you take part too and help us to secure the future of this wonderful Festival?
