The Cumnock Tryst is seeking an experienced administrator to work alongside Jean Nicholson, Festival Director, to deliver a packed festival this October. The full programme will be announced at a special launch event on June 5th but at the centre of this year’s Festival is the world premiere of a new oratorio by Sir James MacMillan, All the Hills and Vales Along, as part of the 14-18 NOW commissions for the centenary of the Armistice marking the end of World War 1.
The weekend will be packed with concerts and events performed by leading artists. We require somebody who is organised, motivated, passionate about music and has administrative experience managing music events.
The Festival Administrator is a freelance role for somebody with ambition and drive. They will work closely with the Festival Director but need to be confident organisers of their own work and understand how to prioritise. The role will involve liaison with artists, with venues, local hotels, local schools, members of our Festival Chorus – a wide range of people so we’re looking for somebody with excellent communication skills.
This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced person to be part of the team that delivers one of Scotland’s newest and most dynamic music festivals.
