Fr Guy Nicholls is the Director of the Blessed John Henry Newman Institute of Liturgical Music. He is an expert on the origins of liturgical music and how chant can be applied to the divine praises of the church today. At this early workshop he will prepare the congregation in their special songs for the Festival Mass. Open to all, Fr Guy will explain why these chants are being used, and train the workshop participants to sing them for the morning liturgy.

Fr Guy Nicholls is one of the most musical clergymen I know! He is also a scholar of sacred music and a great enabler of ordinary people to play their part in the singing of chant in both English and Latin. Come along, sing and hear a fascinating insight into some of the simplest and most beautiful ancient church music.
