A wealth of musical riches is planned for our newest Tryst venue, Auchinleck Parish Church, also known as Barony Church. We welcome Leigh Melrose to the Festival; he will sing in the Scottish premiere of Cecilia McDowall’s Stabat Mater, alongside our new Festival Chorus, Genesis Sixteen, the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland Camerata and the RSNO Junior Chorus, conducted by Eamonn Dougan, assisted by Christopher Bell and Andrew McTaggart. Leigh Melrose will also perform Copland’s American Songs directed by Sir James MacMillan.

The world’s great performers continue to come to Cumnock, or in this case, Auchinleck! We also give a platform for some of the country’s most wonderful young performers, north and south of the border, all alongside the new Festival Chorus of The Cumnock Tryst. The brilliant Eamonn Dougan makes a welcome return.
